How Scoring Works
🏒 Series Winner
The base points awarded for correctly picking which team wins a playoff series. Every correct pick earns this value, multiplied by the round multiplier.
🎯 Games Prediction
Bonus points for correctly predicting how many games a series will last (4, 5, 6, or 7). Set to 0 to keep things simple — only the series winner matters. Higher values reward deeper analysis.
⚡ Upset Bonus
When enabled, correctly picking a lower-seeded team to win earns bonus points equal to the seed differential. For example, an 8-seed beating a 1-seed is worth 7 bonus points (8 − 1), while a 5-seed over a 4-seed is worth just 1. Upset bonus points are flat — they are not affected by round multipliers.
📈 Round Multipliers
Each round has a multiplier applied to all points earned in that round. With escalating multipliers (e.g. ×1, ×2, ×3, ×4), later rounds are worth significantly more — so nailing the Conference Finals and Stanley Cup Final can make or break your bracket. Flat multipliers (all ×1) keep every round equally weighted.
